Student's Prayer for a New Year

Student’s Prayer for a New Year

My Heavenly Father, as I enter my school, I bring Your presence with me. I speak Your peace, Your grace, Your mercy, and Your perfect order into my school. I acknowledge Your power over all that will be spoken, thought, decided, and done within these walls. Lord, I thank You for the gifts You have blessed me with. I commit to using them responsibly in Your honor. Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job. Anoint my projects, ideas, and energy, so that even my smallest accomplishment may bring You glory. Lord, when I am confused, guide me. When I am weary, energize me. When I am burned out, infuse me with the light of the Holy Spirit. May th ework that I do and the way I do it bring faith, joy, and a smile to all that I come in contact with today. And, Oh Lord, when I leave this place, give me traveling mercy. Bless my family and home to be in order according to Your will. Lord, I think You for everthing You have done, everthing You are doing, and everthing You are going to do. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray with much love and thanksgiving, AMEN.

Isaiah 26:12 12 LORD, You will establish peace for us, For You have also done all our works in us.

9th Grade Bible

I love teaching 9th grade Bible. The students are just beginning their high school experience and they are learning so much so fast. I enjoy giving them scripture to learn and discussing the meaning and thoughts behind the scriptures.

The first week of Bible we learned Eccl. 1:12-15. This week, we are learning the books of the OT and NT and the Apostles' Creed:

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. AMEN.

Next week, we will learn the Lord's Prayer.
